Payton's FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

Payton is officially a Kindergarten boy! Last night was back to school night and he wanted to wear his new school clothes and shoes...even though it wasn't any longer than an hour worth of wear. He's so ready for Kindergarten and as I dropped him off today I know he's going to be such a good student. I don't know his teacher very well..ok so not at all...but I think he'll do great in school. This morning when I woke up I thought he was still sound asleep. As I was in my closet getting my shirt on he walks in with his new clothes and his back pack on...ready for school! Here's a couple things I want to remember before he's too old I can't remember:

..write his name
..ride his bike
..tie his shoes by himself
..loves to comb his own hair
..can trace around objects with his crayon
..loves to cut things out
..projects involving glue...NO PROBLEM! HE'S INVOLVED.
I didn't think I would get emotional at all with him going to school because I was so ready for him to go but as I gave him a hug goodbye so he could line up with his class I got a bit choked up thinking he's so big and can do great things without me. I'm attributing the emotion to my excitement for him. I can't wait to pick him up today and find out all the great things he'll get to do this year in school!

Hey we made pizza last night too! Just wait until he is gone all day that is when it gets really weird. Our house is so quiet, too quiet! Luke isn't sure what is going on and Courtney thinks that she can watch movies all day while they are gone!
Look how grownup and handsome he is! I enjoyed reading the post about you having to discipline Payton. Sometimes I am so inconsistent with that and you have inspired me to do better!
I love his taste in "first of school" outfits. That was my favorite too. Way to be a good mom and make sure he wore his helmet. It didn't even cross my mind this morning. (Maybe it was because I didn't want to mess up their hair).
He looks pretty sweet but I think he should have kept the mo-hawk for sure! Man you are getting to be an old mom for sure!

oh how cute and fun that he is in kindergarten now! keep me posted about that job i really am interested! i can also bring in a resume if that helps...
He's so cute! Wow, kindergarten. Must be bitter sweet. Glad I have another year to prepare myself. That is cute that you went on a shopping "date"! Hope everything goes well!
